About Marion

One of the founding members of Augusta Burlesque and the first director of Dirty South Burlesque & Cabaret, Marion the Librarian (Rachel Miller) was a mainstay of the stage at Le Chat Noir. She performed, emceed, acted, modeled, directed, painted, and laughed with many in Augusta. She passed away suddenly in June of 2019, but her memory lives on in the love, inspiration and creativity she gave to us.

About the Show

Memories of Marion will be a tribute show, part benefit show and part burlesque family reunion. Original members of Augusta's burlesque troupes who performed alongside Marion will present a collection of acts from her library of fan & friend favorites!

Art Auction, 5pm

Preceding Memories of Marion, there will be an auction of a selection of Marion’s artwork. A multi-talented maven, Marion produced amazing watercolor figure studies in her art classes - so many that her family would like to share the opportunity to own a Marion of your own. Silent auction bidding begins at 5pm at Le Chat Noir Theater and concludes at the intermission of the show.

Hors d'oeuvres will be provided by members of Marion’s cooking club, refreshments at the bar.

All proceeds of the tickets & auction benefit two causes Marion was passionate about - local art and veterans, via the Greater Augusta Arts Council and Forces United.

Le Chat Noir Theatre
304 8th Street, Augusta, GA 30901, United States
Le Chat Noir (The Black Cat) is an intimate 60-100 seat theatre with attached lobby and full service bar that echoes a 19th century cabaret after one too many absinthes. Like it’s namesake, Le Chat Noir exists to produce and present entertainment to the CSRA that was previously not being offered.
